The Squidstrument is a little instrument that was spawned from the interactive dance research I’ve been doing with the dancer Fiona Malone. Only instead of tracking a dancer’s movements, it’s tracking the movement of various coloured squids, fishes and pink monsters.. very little difference really. The data generated from this I’m using to control various real-time parameters inside the computer. It allows the manipulation of many parameters simultaneously, so, surprisingly it’s been quite useful in a performance situation.

Its using some lovely software from Reactivision, with the simple bits done in MAX.
