A collaboration with director Ros Oades and Urban Theatre Projects.
Developed in response to the 2005 Cronulla riots, Stories of Love & Hate is a new performance that draws upon sound installation, experimental performance techniques, dramaturgy and community collaboration. The production’s source material, audio and performance scores are derived from an extensive interview process with community members from the Sutherland Shire and Bankstown areas. This work will further explore models of community engagement and build upon the potential of a verbatim-style audio script established in Roslyn Oades’ last work Fast Cars & Tractor Engines (UTP, 2005).
